Ladli Bahna Yojana: Taking a big step towards women’s empowerment, the Madhya Pradesh government has launched the ‘Ladli Bahna Yojana’.
Under this scheme, financial assistance is being given to the poor and backward-class women of the state. The objective of the scheme is to make women self-reliant and improve their standard of living.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while launching this scheme, said that it would prove to be a boon for the women of the state.
Under the scheme, eligible women will be given an amount of Rs 12 thousand annually, which will be transferred to their bank account in 12 equal installments.
Eligibility of Laadli Bahana Yojana
Some conditions have to be fulfilled to avail the benefits of Laadli Bahana Yojana:
The applicant woman should be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
The age of the woman have to be more than 23 years.
The yearly income of the family should be less than Rs 3 lakh.
The family should have less than 5 hectares of cultivable land.
The woman can be married or unmarried.
