Along with the central government, state governments are also running many welfare schemes to empower women economically. The Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana, run by the Madhya Pradesh government, is one such scheme. Under this scheme, women are provided financial assistance of Rs 1250 every month. Recently, a major update has come regarding the instalment of the Ladli Behna Yojana. It is expected that the amount will now be increased to Rs 3000 every month instead of Rs 1250.

Chief Minister’s Announcement

On February 10, 2025, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Lal Yadav released the instalment of the Ladli Behna Yojana, and Rs 1250 was credited to women’s accounts. Along with this, he announced that the financial assistance would now increase to Rs 3000 per month instead of Rs 1250. The Chief Minister had previously announced an increase in the scheme’s instalment amount.

When will the increased amount be available?

The Chief Minister has not yet clarified when the increased instalment will be credited to beneficiaries’ accounts. On Monday, he transferred Rs 1250 to the accounts of 1.27 crore women. He also assured that women would start receiving Rs 3000 per month soon. However, according to media reports, the increased amount is expected to be provided in the last months of this year, meaning Ladli sisters will have to wait a little longer.
