PM Bima Sakhi Yojana: PM Narendra Modi is set to present a unique gift to women today. On Monday, PM Modi will inaugurate LIC’s Bima Sakhi Yojana in Panipat, Haryana at 2 pm and will hand out appointment letters to prospective Bima Sakhis. To facilitate this, a large pandal has been erected at Dussehra Ground located in Sector 13-17. LIC’s Bima Sakhi Yojana aims to empower and make self-reliant women aged 18 to 70 who have completed their 10th grade. Learn about this program.
Who can be benefited?
Under this program, women who have completed their 10th grade will receive specialized training to become LIC agents. LIC will provide a salary or stipend to trained Bima Sakhi women during the initial 3 years. Upon finishing the training, women are eligible to serve as LIC agents. Upon completing their degree, they will have the opportunity to become a Development Officer at LIC.
Bima Sakhi initiative to promote women’s empowerment
LIC has launched the Bima Sakhi initiative to promote women’s empowerment. By doing this, trained women will endeavor to enhance financial literacy and knowledge regarding insurance. The Prime Minister will additionally inaugurate the foundation stone of Maharana Pratap Horticulture University at this location. A horticultural university is under construction in Karnal with an estimated expenditure of around Rs 700 crore. We would like to inform you that this will be Prime Minister Modi’s second trip to Haryana since the NDA government was established in October.
