The Aadhaar card and its number are now serving as a distinct identification for all citizens in India. The government offers a range of amenities when connected to Aadhaar. If lost or damaged, numerous crucial tasks may come to a halt in that scenario. In order to address this issue, UIDAI has introduced the option to request a PVC Aadhaar card through their online platform. The plastic Aadhaar card is made of PVC and contains printed information about your Aadhaar. It resembles an ATM or debit card and can be conveniently stored in a wallet. What sets it apart is its longevity and resistance to quick deterioration. As per the UIDAI, the PVC Aadhaar card can be requested on their official site for a nominal cost of ₹50.
In this way you can have Aadhaar PVC Card online:
- To begin with, the first step is to access the UIDAI’s official website.
- Please input your Aadhaar number in this field. Provide your Aadhaar number and enter the captcha code on the website.
- Dispatch OTP to the phone number and authenticate it.
- Press the Send OTP button. Enter the OTP on the verified phone number and then click on submit.
- Click the option ‘Order Aadhaar PVC Card’.

UIDAI will print your PVC Aadhaar and hand it over to India Post within the next 5 working days. Your card will be delivered to your home through Speed Post. Explain that if you do not want to do the online process, then you can also get a new Aadhaar card by going to the Aadhaar center.
