LPG Gas Cylinder: The use of LPG cylinders is continuously increasing from village to city. Governments also distribute LPG cylinders to women for cooking to keep pollution clean. Using LPG cylinders has become a part of most people’s culture. The number of domestic LPG cylinders has doubled in the last ten years.

If the report of gas agencies is to be believed, the number of LPG cylinders in India will reach 31.83 crores by November 1, 2024. According to this, 1/4th of the total population of India has an LPG cylinder, which they use for cooking. In 2014, the total number of LPG cylinders was 14.52 crores. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has given this information. There has been a significant increase in the number of LPG cylinders under the PM Ujjwala Yojana.

So many connections have been made under PM Ujjwala Yojana

Since the Modi government started the PM Ujjwala Yojana, the number of LPGs has seen a massive increase in sellers. So far, 10.33 crore connections have been issued to provide subsidized LPG cylinders. Ujjwala beneficiaries are provided LPG cylinders for Rs 300 less as sa ubsidy.

Since the PM Ujjwala Yojana launch on May 1, 2016, about 222 crore LPG refills have been distributed to these families, and about 13 lakh refills are being used rapidly daily. LPG cylinder consumption increased

The consumption of LPG cylinders is continuously increasing, affecting gas consumption. The increase in per capita consumption of 14.2 kg of cylinders has also increased the number of cylinders. In 2019-20, the consumption was 3.01 cylinders, Anderson. No, in 2023-24, it increased to 3.95.
