The end of 2024 is just around the corner, and with the new year approaching, there are fresh expectations along with the usual pressure to hike costs. Every month brings changes to various rules, and come January 2025, we can expect even more adjustments. People are particularly keen on tracking the prices of LPG and domestic gas, as these fluctuations will hit their wallets directly. It’s good to stay informed about these changes ahead of time.

LPG Pricing

At the start of each month, oil marketing companies take a look at the international crude oil prices and adjust LPG rates accordingly. Over the past five months, the cost of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has seen several increases, while the price of the 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has remained stable.

LPG cylinder prices are updated on the first of every month, and this time, many are hoping for a reduction in domestic gas cylinder rates from the Petroleum Ministry. Before the new year rolls in, there’s some exciting news for those who don’t use a lot of gas. If your household is small and you’re tired of paying high prices for cylinders, there’s a new option for you. Petroleum companies have introduced a smaller cylinder that’s now available in most cities for just Rs 570. This cylinder comes with several features that set it apart from the traditional ones.

Better Options

To address the needs of consumers, petroleum companies have rolled out composite gas cylinders as a more affordable alternative. These cylinders are priced Rs 330 less than the standard domestic ones. For instance, the Indane composite cylinder is available in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, for Rs 570. This innovative cylinder holds 10 kg of LPG and boasts unique features that make it stand out.
