Mahindra has increased the prices of the XUV 700, which is offered as a 7-seater SUV (XUV 700 Price Hike). Now buying this SUV has become costlier by up to Rs 50 thousand. However, the prices of its selected variants have been increased only.
Which Variants’ Prices Increased?
According to media reports, Mahindra has increased the price of the AX7 MT 7S petrol variant by ₹15,000, making its new ex-showroom price ₹19.64 lakh, compared to ₹19.49 lakh earlier. The prices of the MX MT 5S, MX MT 7S, and AX3 MT 5S petrol variants have also been increased by up to ₹50,000. This price hike applies only to petrol variants, with diesel variants remaining unaffected.
6-Seater Variants Removed
Mahindra has discontinued the 6-seater configuration of this SUV. However, the company has added two new AX3 diesel variants, priced at ₹17.99 lakh and ₹18.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Competition in the Segment
The Mahindra XUV 700, available in both five-seater and seven-seater configurations, competes in the mid-size SUV segment. Its main rivals include Tata Safari, MG Hector, and even Mahindra Scorpio N from Mahindra’s lineup.
Two New EVs to Launch Soon
Mahindra is gearing up to introduce two new electric vehicles (EVs) soon. One of these will likely be the electric version of the XUV 700. The upcoming EVs, XUV 9e and BE 6e, are scheduled for an official launch on November 26, 2024.
