The Government of India runs various schemes to benefit its citizens. Many of these initiatives aim to promote women’s empowerment. In addition to the central government, several state governments in India also implement welfare schemes for their residents.
This year, the Chhattisgarh government launched the Mahtari Vandan Yojana to support women in the state. Under this scheme, eligible women receive financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month. So far, seven instalments have been released. However, certain conditions must be met to qualify for the benefits under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Seventh Installment Details
So far, the Chhattisgarh government has sent seven instalments of the Mahtari Vandan scheme to eligible women. State Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sain transferred the money to the accounts of over 70 lakh women. Women who haven’t received the seventh instalment can register a complaint on the official website: mahtarivandan.cgstate.gov.in.
Eligibility Criteria for Women to Avail the Scheme
To avail of the benefits under the Mahtari Vandan scheme, women must meet certain conditions:
- Must be a native of Chhattisgarh.
- The age should be between 23 and 60 years.
- The family’s annual income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
- Widows, divorced women, and unmarried women are also eligible to apply.
How to Check the Status of Your Installment
Women receiving benefits can check the status of their instalments through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana portal. Follow these steps:
- Visit the official Mahtari Vandan Yojana website.
- On the homepage, click on the option to check the application status.
- A new page will open, prompting you to fill in the required details.
- After submitting the details, you will be able to see the status of your application.
- You can also check your bank statement to verify if the money has been credited to your account.
