A dream home for rural women workers is now a step closer. The Himachal Pradesh government has introduced a new scheme to empower women and improve their living conditions. Under this scheme, women who have completed 100 days of work under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) will receive a substantial grant of Rs 3 lakh to build their own homes.

Who is Eligible

To be eligible for this scheme, women workers must meet the following criteria:

100 Days of Work: They must have completed at least 100 days of work under MGNREGA in the financial years 2023-24 and 2024-25.
