A dream home for rural women workers is now a step closer. The Himachal Pradesh government has introduced a new scheme to empower women and improve their living conditions. Under this scheme, women who have completed 100 days of work under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) will receive a substantial grant of Rs 3 lakh to build their own homes.
