PM Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Scholarship:  A shortage of funds won’t obstruct your ability to achieve your dreams. The federal government will assist students from low-income households in finishing their college education. To achieve this, the government has introduced the PM Higher Education Promotion Scholarship.

What is the aim of this initiative?

The PM Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Scholarship is aimed at outstanding students enrolled in colleges and universities. This scholarship will be awarded based on the marks achieved in the 12th grade. This scholarship will be awarded to 82,000 students each year. In this context, students enrolled in professional courses such as medicine and engineering will receive this scholarship. Under the PM Higher Education Promotion Scholarship, students studying for their graduation will receive Rs 12,000 each year for the initial three years. Students undertaking post graduation will receive an annual scholarship of Rs 20,000.

Students will receive Rs 20,000

Students enrolled in vocational courses that are five-year integrated programs will receive Rs 20,000 during their fourth and fifth years. Students enrolled in technical programs such as BE and BTech will receive a scholarship of Rs 12,000 until they graduate, followed by Rs 20,000 each year thereafter.

Need over 80% marks : You need to achieve over 80% marks in 12th grade. Additionally, you will need to enroll in a regular undergraduate/postgraduate program. 

One scholarship at a time: The student applying must not receive any other scholarship provided by the Central or State Government.

Yearly income of family: The yearly income of the family must be under Rs 4.5 lakh each year.
