Indian people invest a lot of money in fixed deposits due to their good interest rates and the security of not losing money. For a long time, FD has been a favourite investment option for the common man. Seeing the public’s interest, both government and private banks regularly launch attractive FD schemes. Now, Punjab National Bank has introduced two new fixed deposit schemes with tenures of 303 days and 506 days. You can invest up to three crore rupees in these fixed deposits.

Punjab National Bank Fixed Deposit Interest Rates

Investors depositing money in Punjab National Bank’s new FD with a duration of 303 days will receive an interest rate of 7%. For the 506-day FD, the interest rate is 6.7%. These new rates became effective on January 1, 2025.

Higher Interest for Senior and Super Senior Citizens

Senior Citizens: Senior citizens will receive a higher interest rate. For the 303-day FD, the interest rate is 7.5%, and for the 506-day FD, it’s 7.2%.
Super Senior Citizens: Super senior citizens (aged 80 and above) will get 7.85% interest on FDs with a 303-day tenure and 7.5% on those with a 506-day tenure.

Interest Rates for General Customers

Punjab National Bank offers FDs ranging from 7 days to 10 years for general customers. The interest rates range from 3.50% to 7.25%. The highest interest rate of 7.25% is available on FDs with a tenure of 400 days.

Interest Rates for Senior Citizens

For senior citizens, PNB offers interest rates ranging from 4% to 7.75% on FDs with tenures between 7 days and 10 years. The highest interest rate of 7.75% is available on FDs with a 400-day tenure.

Interest Rates for Super Senior Citizens

For super senior citizens (aged 80 and above), PNB offers interest rates between 4.30% and 8.05% on FDs with tenures ranging from 7 days to 10 years. The highest interest rate of 8.05% is offered on FDs with a 400-day tenure.
