The minimum land requirement was reduced to 5 hectares

Minister of State for Industries KK Vishnoi said that the state government is dedicated to the welfare of farmers. He assured that a decision will be taken in the interest of farmers by conducting a test regarding reducing the minimum land requirement of 5 hectares to 2.5 hectares for collective application for fencing. In the year 2024-25, a provision of Rs 216.80 crore was made for 20 thousand kilometers of fencing for 50 thousand farmers.

How much subsidy will be given

On fencing up to 400 running meters, small and marginal farmers will be given a subsidy of 60 percent of the cost or a maximum of Rs 48,000, whichever is less, and general farmers will be given a subsidy of 50 percent of the cost or maximum Rs 40,000, whichever is less. In community application, if fencing is done in a minimum area of ​​5 hectares in a group of 10 or more farmers, then there is a provision to give a subsidy on a proportionate basis if fencing is done on the perimeter. The subsidy will be payable up to 400 running meters per farmer.

Know eligibility

The benefit of this scheme will be given to farmers of all categories. Individual and farmer group applicants should have a minimum of 1.5 hectares of land in one place. Due to the low size of land holdings in Scheduled Tribe areas, there should be a minimum of 0.5 hectares of land in one place. In community application, a group of 10 or more farmers should have a minimum of 5 hectares of land and the boundaries of the group land should be within the prescribed perimeter.

How to apply

Any person can apply through Jan Aadhar on the ‘Krishi Raj Kisan Saathi Portal himself or by visiting the nearest e-Mitra center. The applicant can only get the receipt for submitting the online application form. Required documents along with the application form, Aadhar card, Jan Aadhar card, copy of Jamabandi (not more than 6 months old), and bank account details.

Information will be available on mobile

After the application, administrative approval will be issued by the Agriculture Department for the establishment of fencing. Its information will be received through mobile message / agricultural supervisor. Before fencing and after the completion of the work, the department will do spot / verification and geotagging and the grant amount will be deposited directly into the farmer’s account.
