Good news for state govt employees. Before the 2025, govt rises allowance money. The employees of the Uttar Pradesh government have received a pleasant surprise from the Yogi administration just in time for the new year. The government has decided to boost the allowances provided to these employees.
In various subordinate government offices, the bardi allowance for vehicle drivers, attendants, and the allowances for new uniforms and uniform washing have all seen an increase. Previously, the allowance for purchasing uniforms was set at Rs 680, but it has now been raised to Rs 1,020. Additionally, the allowance for buying a raincoat has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 750. This change comes from an order issued by the MSME Department.
As per the new order, the cost for winter uniforms has risen from Rs 1,310 to Rs 1,965, while the price for shoes has gone up from Rs 164 to Rs 246, and umbrellas will now cost Rs 96 to Rs 144. Employees will be allowed to purchase a raincoat once every five years, winter uniforms every three years, and summer uniforms every four years. However, female personnel will receive summer uniforms annually, and drivers will be eligible for winter uniforms every three years.
Moreover, the uniform washing allowance for Group D personnel has been increased from Rs 40 to Rs 60. Drivers will also see an increase in their uniform allowance, which has gone up by Rs 30, bringing it to Rs 90 from Rs 60. Additionally, permanent Class IV employees outside the Secretariat, such as Safai Nayak, Daftari, Orderly, Letter Carrier, Office Peon, and State Vehicle Drivers who have been in service for five years or more will also receive a uniform allowance.
