CISF personnel will no more need to endure long waits and visits to offices to receive pension and other benefits after retirement. CISF has introduced an online service book portal for processing all allowances and starting pension payments on the retirement day. Every year, over 2400 personnel from CISF retire. According to a high-ranking official from the Home Ministry, a portal for e-service books has been developed for CISF personnel as part of the Digital India initiative by the Modi government.
Efforts are being made to develop e-service book portals for other departments too. He mentioned that in the past, it would often take many months to distribute allowances and begin pensions for CISF personnel who had retired, particularly those stationed in distant locations. Physical documents not only required time to transfer among various departments, but also carried a risk of errors occurring. However, the e-service book portal will make it simple for all departments to exchange e-files.
He mentioned that this will also be advantageous for the employees who are serving. They will have the option to access their service book online and if there are any errors, they can have them rectified promptly. On Wednesday, the government announced that the ‘e-Dakhil’ portal has been effectively introduced in all states and union territories, providing a cost-effective, expedited, and trouble-free method for submitting consumer grievances. In addition to that, the government is also focused on launching the ‘e-Jaagruti’ portal.
This platform aims to make the process of submitting cases, tracking them, and overseeing their advancement more efficient. This will guarantee a smooth experience for customers and other parties involved. According to a statement from the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, the e-Dakhil portal is now accessible to consumers throughout India following its recent launch in Ladakh.
