The government provides different types of schemes, some of which offer financial assistance to the public. A person who assists in securing a job is known to receive complimentary care. Under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, treatment costing up to Rs 5 lakh is offered completely free in government and designated private hospitals.
However, in addition to this program, e-Shram cardholders are also provided with complimentary treatment up to Rs 5 lakh and free insurance coverage of Rs 2 lakh. What is e-Shram Card
The e-Shram portal was launched by the Ministry of Labour & Employment as a national database for workers. Other workers, including migrant workers and domestic workers, are given benefits of the e-shram card. Eligible registration of e-shram cards can be done under 30 broad business sectors and about 400 businesses on the eShram portal. Those working in the unorganized sector can apply for the card.
Benefits of e-Shram Card
1. E-Shram card holders also get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
2. Under this scheme, after the age of 60 years, e-Shram card holders will get a pension of Rs 3,000 per month.
3. Workers are given accidental insurance cover of up to Rs 2 lakh.
4. Workers are given Rs 1 lakh in case of disability in an accident.
5. All the workers are paid 500 to 1000 rupees per month.
6. Financial assistance is provided to build the first house.
7. Workers get the benefit of all welfare government schemes.
8..Financial assistance is provided for the education of the children of the workers.
9. Assistance is provided to pregnant women for the maintenance of their children.
Who are eligible and who are not
Servants working at home Maids / drivers, salesgirls / salesboys working in the shop, rickshaw drivers, taxi drivers etc. whose age is between 16 to 59 years are eligible for the e-shram card.
There is no e-shram card for income tax collectors. Apart from this, people who are members of EPFO, NPS, CPS or ESIC also cannot apply for e-Shram cards.
E-Shram Card Application Process
1. For registration on the e-Shram portal, go to the official website www.eshram.gov.in.
2. There will be a form here, click on it and fill in all the information in the form.
3. Enter your Aadhaar number as well as the phone number linked to Aadhaar.
4. Now enter the captcha code in addition to EPFO, ESIC member status.
5. After entering the OTP on the phone number, fill in all the details in the registration form.
6. After tapping on the submit button, you will be able to register yourself on the e-Shram portal.
