Ahead of Festive season, some state govt employees gets Diwali Bonus with DA Hike. Diwali is around the corner. Everyone is now in a festive mood. However, right now the happiest are the state government employees and central government employees. Because everyone will now get money from Diwali bonus to dearness allowance in everyone’s bank account. The Diwali bonus has reached the accounts of many.
The Central government now has given Diwali gifts to many state government employees. State governments have already announced an increase in dearness allowance for employees before Diwali. The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has increased the dearness allowance of 17 lakh state employees and teachers. Along with this, the Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat, government has also increased the dearness allowance. These states have increased the Dearness Allowance for employees and pensioners by 3 percent.
Uttar Pradesh
First, let’s talk about the Uttar Pradesh government. Ahead of Diwali, the DA will be sent to the employees’ accounts, which will be Rs 6,908. Salary for the month of October will also be credited. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday announced a Diwali bonus for around 15 lakh non-gazetted state employees. According to a notification issued by the Finance Department, one month’s salary will not only be credited to the bank account; apart from this, employees will also get a bonus of up to Rs 7,000.
Gujarat
The BJP-led Gujarat government has given a big gift to Class IV category employees on the occasion of the festival. The government announced on Monday that a Diwali bonus will be given to all the employees in the state. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel-led government on Monday announced that more than 17,700 Class IV category employees of the state government will get a festival bonus of up to Rs 7,000. According to an official statement, the Chief Minister has directed the state Finance Department to issue necessary notifications in this regard.
Arunachal Pradesh
The Arunachal Pradesh government has also announced an increase in Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief exemption of 3 percent for employees and pensioners. The increase will come into effect on July 1, 2024. With this increase, DA and DR will increase from 50 percent to 53 percent. This announcement will benefit 68,818 employees of the state.
Bonus for Central Government Employees
Earlier, the Modi government had announced to give festival bonuses to government employees. In a statement, the Finance Ministry said that on the occasion of Diwali, a non-productivity-linked bonus (ad hoc bonus) will be given to employees of various departments, which will be equal to one month’s salary of the employees. However, non-gazetted employees of Group C and Group B will be eligible for this bonus.
