The One Nation One Subscription Yojana was launched by the Central Government on January 1, 2025. It is an integrated online platform that will provide students, teachers, and researchers at central and state government universities and research institutes with access to global-level education. Over 134,000 international journals from 30 world-renowned publishers will be available on the One Nation One Subscription Portal. Students can use these journals in their studies, while researchers can benefit from them in their research. Throughout this article, we will share all the details regarding this scheme.

About One Nation One Subscription Yojana

This scheme will be implemented in two phases. A budget of Rs 6000 crore has been allocated for the first phase. The application process for the first phase of the scheme has already started. Any student, teacher, or researcher who wishes to benefit from this scheme can apply. The objective of the One Nation One Subscription Scheme is to provide access to international scholarly journals and articles for students, teachers, researchers, and scientists in all central and state government higher education institutions, research institutes, and development institutions.

Benefits of One Nation One Subscription Yojana

Around 63,000 international-level universities and institutions, including IITs and NITs, will be registered on the One Nation One Subscription portal.
Approximately 1.80 crore students from central and state government higher education institutions and development centres will be able to benefit from this scheme.
The content available on the One Nation One Subscription platform will be of global quality, which students and researchers can use for their studies and research.
The platform will be fully digital, offering more than 134,000 international journals from 30 renowned publishers in one place.

Eligibility Criteria for One Nation One Subscription Scheme

  1. All central and state government higher education institutions, research institutes, and development institutions are eligible to subscribe to the One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) platform.
  2. Students, teachers, and researchers can access the content on the ONOS platform using a user ID and password provided by their university or institution. They must first authenticate through their institution.
  3. Private universities, institutions, and their students, teachers, and researchers are not eligible to subscribe to this scheme.

How to Apply for One Nation One Subscription Yojana

  1. To apply online, click the link for “One Nation One Subscription Yojana Apply Online” in the “SOME USEFUL IMPORTANT LINKS” section above.
  2. A new page will open where you need to enter the AISHE Code of your institution and the captcha code. Click on the “Register” button.
  3. On the next page, enter the contact address, mobile number, and email ID of the nodal officer of the institution, and click on the “Register” button.
  4. Note: The nodal officer should be a regular, senior, full-time employee of the institution.
  5. Once registered, students, teachers, and researchers will be able to access the content on the ONOS platform using the user ID and password provided by their institution.
