If you are a pensioner, November is the month to submit your Jeevan Pramaan Patra (Life Certificate). You have only 10 days left. If you have not submitted your life certificate yet, do it soon, or your pension may be stopped. The submission window for those below 80 years of age has been open since November 1. There are approximately 69.76 lakh central government pensioners in the country.

Where Can You Submit the Life Certificate?

Pensioners can submit the certificate at various offline platforms such as banks, post offices, or other designated locations. If the life certificate is not submitted by the end of November, pension payments will be stopped from December. Pensioners and family pensioners can also submit their life certificates through the Jeevan Pramaan portal, doorstep banking (DSB) agents, biometric devices in post offices, or physical life certificate forms at bank branches. State government employees can submit their life certificates directly to the treasury office.

How to Submit Online

Pensioners can authenticate their identity using biometric technology, including face recognition, fingerprint, and iris scanning through the Jeevan Pramaan and Aadhar Face RD apps.

Steps to Submit Online:

  • Ensure your Aadhaar number is updated with the pension disbursing authority (e.g., your bank or post office).
  • Install the ‘Jeevan Pramaan Face App’ and ‘AadharFaceRD’ from the Google Play Store.
  • Provide the necessary details about the pensioner.
  • After capturing the photo, submit the details.
  • The registered mobile number will receive an SMS with a link to download the Jeevan Pramaan certificate.

Last Date to Submit Jeevan Pramaan

The deadline to submit the Jeevan Pramaan certificate for pensioners below 80 years of age is between November 1 and November 30. Super senior citizens (aged 80 years and above) can submit their Jeevan Pramaan certificate from October 1, with the last date being November 30. In 2019, the Center directed banks to allow senior pensioners to submit their life certificates starting October 1 each year, instead of waiting until November.
