Procurement at MSP

Under this scheme, the procurement of pulses, oilseeds, and copra notified at MSP from the 2024–25 session will be 25 percent of the national production. This will enable the states to procure more crops from the farmers. We have already fixed 100% procurement of tur, urad, and lentils, which will provide relief to the farmers in times of crisis.

An increase in financial security

The central government has increased the existing government guarantee for procurement at MSP to Rs 45,000 crore. This will enable more procurement of pulses, oilseeds, and coconuts when market prices fall below the MSP.
