PM Kisan Yojana 20th Installment Update: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) on Monday, February 24. This time, ₹22,000 crore was given to 9.8 crore farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The amount also includes ₹2.41 crore for women farmers.
How Much Help is Given?
Under the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers get ₹2,000 every 4 months. In a year, they receive ₹6,000 in three installments.
When Will the Next Payment Come?
The 20th installment is expected in June 2025. This will be the second payment of the year. The third installment may come in October 2025. However, the government has not made an official announcement yet.
Benefits of PM Kisan Yojana
The money given under this scheme helps farmers to:
- Buy better seeds, fertilizers, and other farming needs.
- Manage household expenses.
- Support small and marginal farmers financially.
Till now, ₹3.5 lakh crore has been given in 18 installments, helping around 11 crore farmer families.
Who Can Get This Help?
To get benefits from this scheme, farmers must:
- Be Indian citizens.
- Own farmland.
- Have a joint family (husband, wife, and minor children).

How to Apply for PM Kisan Yojana?
To apply, follow these steps:
- Visit the PM Kisan website: https://pmkisan.gov.in
- Click on “New Farmer Registration.”
- Enter details like your name, age, gender, category (SC/ST), Aadhaar number, bank account number, IFSC code, and mobile number.
How does anybody complete e-KYC?
e-KYC is necessary to get the benefits. You can do it in three ways:
- Through OTP: Enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Through Biometric: Visit a Common Service Center (CSC) for fingerprint verification.
- Through Face Authentication: Use the PM Kisan mobile app. No OTP or fingerprint is needed for this.
