PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a popular scheme for farmers. This scheme was started to provide financial assistance to landholder farmers in the country. Crores of farmers are currently benefiting from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is provided to farmer families every year, in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000. So far, 18 instalments of Rs 2,000 each have been transferred to the bank accounts of farmers.

PM Modi released the 18th instalment of the scheme in October. The 19th instalment of the scheme may be released in February. Farmers with both rural and urban cultivable land can avail themselves of this scheme. Let’s know what to do to register for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

How to Register for PM Kisan Yojana

Step 1: Visit the PM Kisan portal at https://pmkisan.gov.in/. Click on ‘Farmer Corner.’

Step 2: Click on the ‘New Farmer Registration’ tab.

Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number.

Step 4: Fill in the captcha code and select your state.

Step 5: A form will appear. Enter the requested information.

Step 6: Provide your bank account and farm details.

Step 7: Click on ‘Submit’ to complete your registration.

For offline registration, visit the Kisan Common Service Center, where you can easily register for the scheme.

Farmers Who Are Not Eligible

According to the terms and conditions of PM Kisan Yojana, the following farmers will not receive the benefits of the scheme:

  1. All institutional landholder farmers.
  2. Farmer families with one or more members belonging to any of the following categories:
  • Those who hold or have previously held constitutional posts.
  • Serving or retired officers and employees of the Ministries, Offices, or Departments of the Central/State Government, its field units, Central or State Public Sector Undertakings, attached offices, autonomous institutions under the Government, and regular employees of local bodies (excluding Multi-Tasking Staff/Class I/V/Group D employees).
  • Former or present Ministers/Ministers of State, former or present Members of Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha/State Legislative Assemblies/State Legislative Councils, former or present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, and former or present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
  • Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with professional bodies.
  • Retired pensioners (excluding Multi-Tasking Staff) receiving pensions of Rs. 10,000 or more, and all individuals who have paid income tax in the previous assessment year.
