The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana) has provided farmers across the country with a golden opportunity to live with dignity. Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year is directly credited to the bank accounts of farmers. So far, farmers have received 18 instalments of ‘PM Kisan Yojana’. The 19th instalment (PM Kisan 19th Installment) is now awaited. However, the 19th instalment will be given only to those farmers whose mobile numbers are active. If the mobile number is switched off, the ₹2,000 will not be credited to their account.
Mobile Number Required for e-KYC Completion
Farmers benefiting from the PM Kisan Yojana must have an active mobile number. This number should be linked to their Aadhaar card. Only when the mobile number is linked to the Aadhaar card can the farmer complete the e-KYC for the scheme? The e-KYC is OTP-based, meaning it will only be completed after receiving the OTP on the mobile number. Farmers need to update their mobile numbers on the PM Kisan website to receive the OTP for the scheme (PM Kisan Update).
How to Update Your Mobile Number
To update your mobile number, visit the PM Kisan website at https://pmkisan.gov.in/. Select the ‘Update Mobile Number’ option. Enter your registration or Aadhaar number and the captcha code, then click on the ‘Search’ option. Afterwards, enter your new mobile number and update it.
PM Kisan Scheme Funds Transferred
So far, ₹3.46 lakh crore has been transferred directly to the bank accounts of farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (as of the 18th instalment).
