The scheme is called Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. It is an ambitious initiative by the Government of India. Under this scheme, the government provides financial help of Rs 6,000 every year to poor farmers through three instalments.

Each instalment sends Rs 2,000 to the farmers’ accounts through DBT. So far, a total of 18 instalments of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana have been released. On October 5 last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 18th instalment in Maharashtra. Can Both Father and Son Get the Benefit?

Many farmers often ask whether a father and son in the same family can both receive benefits under this scheme. According to the rules of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, only one member of a family can get the benefit. The scheme applies only to the person in whose name the agricultural land is registered.

Important Update on e-KYC and Land Records

Farmers who have not yet completed their e-KYC and land record verification will not receive the 19th instalment. To continue receiving benefits, eligible farmers should complete these necessary processes as soon as possible.
