PM Kusum Solar Pump Yojana Update: To provide affordable and sustainable energy for irrigation, the Uttar Pradesh government is offering solar pumps on subsidy under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme. Under this scheme, the state government will distribute 54,000 solar pumps on a first come, first serve basis. The central and state governments will together provide subsidies, helping farmers get irrigation facilities at a lower cost.
The Solar Pump Yojana will be especially beneficial for farmers who rely on electricity or diesel engines. Solar pumps are not only environmentally friendly but also a cost-effective option for long-term savings. Let’s understand this scheme in detail.
