The government has a greater responsibility to improve the condition of such areas where not much development work has been done. In simple words, modernity has spread in the cities, but even today people do not get basic facilities in the villages.
Apart from food, clothing and shelter. add roads to these facilities. Roads in remote villages are one of the biggest problems. During the election period. leaders pass by helicopters after holding meetings.
They are also not able to come by road because many villages do not have paved roads. That is why Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana was started in the year 2000. Let us tell you how roads are built under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
This is how the plan is made
Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, paved roads are built in villages. For this, first of all a plan is prepared at the district panchayat level. It includes the district panchayat and the state level standing committee. Along with this, a plan is also made by the block level committee. In this, roads are identified. Which road is the main road.
Which road is connected to the city. On which roads there is more movement of people. After this a DPR is prepared. After this, the budget is allotted by the Ministry of Road Transport for the construction of roads. After this, a tender is issued by the government to build the road.
26 thousand crore rupees were released
Today i.e. on 23 July, the budget was presented by the Finance Minister of India Nirmala Sitharaman. In which the budget has been allocated for the fourth phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. In which 25 thousand kilometers of roads will be built. In today’s budget session, Rs 26 thousand crore has been released for different road projects of the Ministry of Road Transport.
So many roads have been built so far.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. a total of 6,80,040 km long roads have been built from the year 2000 till the year 2021. In the budget of the year 2024. it has also been announced to build 25 thousand kilometers of road.
