How the plan is made

Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, paved roads are built in the villages. For this, first, a plan is prepared at the district panchayat level.

On which roads there is more movement of people. After this, a DPR is prepared. After this, a budget is allocated by the Ministry of Road Transport to build roads. After this, a tender is issued by the government to build the road.

26 thousand crore rupees released

Today i.e. on 23rd July, Finance Minister of India Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget. Which budget has been allocated for the fourth phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.

In which 25 thousand kilometers of roads will be built. In today’s budget session, Rs 26 thousand crore has been released for various road projects of the Ministry of Road Transport.

So many roads have been built so far

Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, a total of 6,80,040 km long roads have been constructed from the year 2000 to the year 2021.

In the budget for the year 2024 also, it has been announced to build 25 thousand kilometers of road.
