The Rajasthan government takes a big decision about land. Now taking land leases of old population in the cities of Rajasthan has now become expensive. Now the landholder will have to pay about eight times more to get a lease from the urban body. The fee for freehold lease has been fixed at Rs 200 per square meter. However, earlier the fee was only Rs 25 per square meter.
In the previous Congress government, the lease was given for Rs 501 under the exemption given in the campaign with the administration cities. This exemption is over. The autonomous government department has issued a notification regarding the new fee.
Instead of 2500, now 20 thousand rupees will be charged
For a lease of 100 square meters, instead of 2500, you will have to pay 20 thousand rupees. Along with the application, the applicant will have to deposit the fee in the body. You will be able to deposit in the body only by self-determination. This includes cases of leases issued in Section 69A of the Municipalities Act.
Who has how much power?
The government has also curtailed the powers of the officers of the bodies (executive officers appointed in the bodies). Earlier, officers could issue leases of such land up to 500 square meters at their own level. However, the decision to give a lease of land ranging from 501 to 5 thousand square meters was issued at the level of the board of the concerned body. The file was sent to the government for issuing leases of more than 5 thousand square meters. Now only 300 square meters at the level of these officers and 301 to 1500 square meters at the board level can be issued pattas. The file will now go to the government for leases of more than 1500 square meters.
