One of the main benefits of this app is that it allows users to easily withdraw money from their EPF accounts. Users do not need to submit any documents and can quickly withdraw money from their PF accounts. The UMANG app, managed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), offers a unified platform for various digital services.

Are you eligible to withdraw PF from UMANG?

  1. You will get this benefit only if your Aadhaar and UAN are linked.
  2. You will get the benefit only if your Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account details are updated and verified on the EPFO portal.
  3. If you have lost your job, are unemployed, are retiring, or face a medical emergency, you can withdraw money. Additionally, those who want to buy an education or a house can also apply for PF withdrawal.

Steps to withdraw PF money from UMANG:

  1. First, install the UMANG app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  2. Register and log in to the app.
  3. Verify and log in by sending an OTP to the registered number.
  4. On the homepage, go to the EPFO section.
  5. Click on ‘Employee-Centric Services’ and select ‘Raise Claim’.
  6. Enter your UAN and the OTP received on your mobile.
  7. Fill out the claim form and specify whether you want to withdraw the entire PF amount or a part of it.
  8. Provide the necessary details and state the reason for the withdrawal.
  9. Apply. You may be asked to provide a medical certificate or proof of education.
  10. After submitting the application, you can track it in the ‘Track Claim’ section of the app.
