You can cover long distances in a brief time by train. The railways are constantly improving their services. Railways also runs many special trains from time to time for the convenience of its passengers. Many special trains are run for passengers especially during festival time.
Recently, the Railways had told that for the comfortable journey of the passengers, ultrasoft linen will now be given in place of white sheets and old blankets in the train on a trial basis.
Meanwhile, there is news that the help of AI will now be taken to monitor problems like cleanliness in railway trains, bedroll, food, water in the toilet, handwash, more passengers sitting in the bogie than the seats. According to railway officials, this facility will take between 15 and 45 minutes to complete.
This entire system is going to work through Internet of Things (IOT) and AI tools. Actually, there is a standard operating procedure (SOP) in place for the facilities provided to passengers traveling in each train bogie. The railways also charge for these services, but they have not yet made any concrete arrangements to fully transform them into passenger facilities.
With the help of AI, railways will now monitor the SOP in every train’s bogie. This AI system’s unique feature is that it immediately alerts the train manager if the SOP is less than 90% completed. Through this AI tool, it will also be known that what will be needed at what distance according to the standards of SOP.
Premium ultra soft linen in train Recently, Northern Railway had told that taking an important step towards improving the journey of rail passengers, the Railways has introduced a new premium ultra soft linen that is comfortable to breathe and lasts long.
The Indian Railways, in consultation with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), conducted rigorous research and development to design this linen.
