Ahead of the festive season, the government has taken a big decision on domestic cooking gas. The state government has launched a new relief scheme for the families benefited under the National Food Security Scheme (NFSA). Under this scheme, eligible families will be able to get LPG gas cylinders for only Rs 450, which will improve their financial condition, and they will be able to get LPG at cheaper rates.

To avail the benefit of this scheme, it will be mandatory to seed all the members of the families associated with the NFSA ration card with the Aadhaar card and all the LPG IDs of the family with the ration card. This process will be conducted between November 5 and 30 at all fair price shops in the district so that the maximum number of beneficiaries can be facilitated. According to the District Logistics Officer, all fair-priced shopkeepers in the district have been instructed to ensure seeding of the Aadhaar number, e-KYC, and LPG ID of all members of each NFSA family through POS machines at their level. For this, the beneficiary families will have to complete the process by visiting their nearest fair price shop. This seeding process will be done digitally to ensure the security of the data and avoid any kind of inconvenience in the future.

Subsidy gas will be available for this much rupees

The beneficiaries will have to visit fair-priced shops with an Aadhaar card, e-KYC documents of all family members, and an LPG gas connection diary or bill. Aadhaar, LPG ID, and e-KYC seeding of all members will be done through the ration shop there. It has been ensured that rations will be distributed only after completion of seeding, and the benefit of subsidized LPG cylinders will also be provided for Rs 450.

This rule will be applicable to all NFSA beneficiaries, and the benefit of the scheme is possible only when the beneficiaries have completed seeding of all the required documents.

These people will get benefits

Officials say the process is mandatory for every NFSA beneficiary family in the district. This initiative is a significant effort by the state government to provide LPG cylinders at subsidized rates, which aims to empower underprivileged and needy families. This initiative of the government will reduce the financial burden on the beneficiary families, and they will be able to avoid the rising prices of LPG. In addition, the scheme will also help in raising the standard of living of households in rural and semi-urban areas by ensuring energy supply.
