BPL Ration Card: The government has recently taken a big decision which has brought relief to lakhs of families. The state government led by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has announced that now gas cylinders will be made available to more people at cheaper prices. This step will prove to be a big relief for the poor and middle class families.
Who will get the benefit?
Earlier this facility was limited only to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and families living below the poverty line (BPL). But now its scope has been increased.
According to the new rule, all the families getting ration under the Food Security Act of the state will also be able to buy gas cylinders for Rs 450. That is, people taking grains from the government ration shop will also be able to get gas cylinders at a lower price.
Big difference in prices
At present, common people in Rajasthan have to pay Rs 806 for a gas cylinder. But after this new decision, a large number of people will get the cylinder for Rs 450 only. This is a huge saving and will prove to be very helpful for families struggling with inflation.
Government help
The government has made this scheme even more convenient. The difference between the actual price of the gas cylinder and Rs 450 will be sent directly to the bank accounts of the people as subsidy. This will keep the entire process clean and people will get immediate benefits
