Subhadra scheme: Many welfare schemes are being run by the Central and State Governments in the interest of women. A similar scheme is being run by the Odisha government. It is called Subhadra Scheme. Through this, the government gives ten thousand rupees to women. Under the Subhadra Yojana, the Odisha government provides financial assistance of Rs 10,000 annually to the women of the state through two installments.

Government has released guidelines

The Odisha government has released guidelines for the Subhadra scheme. This plan will be introduced soon. According to the guidelines of the scheme, every beneficiary will be given 10 thousand rupees annually in two equal installments under this scheme. After five years, each beneficiary woman will get 50 thousand rupees. These people will also be given Subhadra Debit Card. This money will be sent directly to their account. Any woman between the ages of 21 and 60 can take advantage of this scheme.

To take advantage of the Subhadra scheme, women who want to apply, they are required to fulfill the following eligibility conditions: –

• The woman applying must be a resident of Odisha.

• Women must come under the National Food Security Act or the State Food Security Scheme.

• The age of the applicant woman should be between 21 years to 60 years.

• If the annual income of a woman’s family is less than Rs 2.5 lakh, then she can apply without the National Food Security Act and State Food Security Scheme.

• The applicant must not have more than 5 acres of irrigated and more than 10 acres of unirrigated farming.

• The date of birth of the woman will be considered only according to the Aadhaar card.

• The woman’s Aadhaar card must be linked to the mobile number.

• The applicant woman should also have an account in the bank.

• No member in the woman’s household or the woman herself pays income tax.
