What is Sahara Refund Portal
The Sahara refund portal was launched on the order of the Supreme Court on 18 July 2023. Investors investing in Sahara India’s multi-state cooperative had raised a lot of questions on the government and the Securities and Exchange Board of India over the refund process.
This portal was launched to deal with the problem of the people. Investors who apply on this portal get their money back after some time. Initially, the investor gets a refund of only ₹10000. After that, the outstanding amount is returned to the applicant.
What are the figures given by the government?
Finance Minister Pankaj Chaudhary has said that the Supreme Court in an August 31, 2012 order had ordered Sahara India Real Estate Corporation Limited, Sahara Housing Investment Corporation Limited and their promoters to deposit Rs 25781.37 crore with SEBI.
In the data released till March 31, 2024, Rs 15775.50 crore has been given to SEBI. It is expected that the outstanding amount will also be deposited with SEBI soon.

- Here you have to click on depositor login by clicking on the menu option.
- Here you have to fill your Aadhaar card number and phone number.
- The OTP received on the mobile number has to be verified.
- Once the OTP is verified, your ID will be logged.
- Here you can check your refund status.
- If you have not received your refund back, you can reapply by visiting the Sahara Refund Portal.
