Sarkari Yojana: The state government of Rajasthan has initiated the Camel Conservation and Development Mission to halt and preserve the dwindling population of the state animal, the camel.
Why the state government has started this scheme?
As part of this mission, numerous initiatives are underway for camel conservation, alongside linking camel herders to government programs. At the end of one year of the BJP government, the financial aid provided to camel herders has been increased by doubling it through the expansion of the Camel Conservation Scheme within this initiative.
Financial aid provided to camel herders has been increased
Previously, the aid amount provided on delivery was Rs 10,000, which has now been raised to Rs 20,000. This sum will be disbursed in two payments following the online application submission and departmental validation. Officers and staff from the Animal Husbandry Department will travel from village to village to deliver the advantages of government programs to camel herders.
We remain dedicated to fostering the growth of camels and implementing an action plan to boost their population. Our aim is to engage more people with the community and establish a value chain ecosystem for camel milk,” stated Smt. Alka Upadhyaya, Secretary, DAH&D, GoI.… pic.twitter.com/7C2T8uKheh
