Big news for credit card holders. If you also use credit cards then be careful. The burden on the pocket is going to increase. The country’s largest bank SBI is going to charge 1% on the payment of its credit card.

If you pay any utility bill through a credit card, then you may have to pay an additional 1% charge. Some time ago, other banks also increased the service charge on their credit cards by 1%. This time SBI gave a shock to its customers.

How much will the service charge be and what will be the limit

If you pay any bill with your SBI credit card like school fees, restaurant bills, petrol bills, or any other bill, then you will have to pay an additional charge of 1%. The increased additional charge will be applicable only on payment of more than Rs 50000. For your information, let us tell you that this rule will be applicable across the country from November 1, 2024.

On which credit card will this charge be levied

If you use SBI’s credit card for any payment, then you will have to pay a service charge of 1%. This will be levied only on those credit cards which are unsecured cards. This rule will not apply to secured credit cards.
