School Summer Holidays: There is big update for school students. After the end of examinations and heatwave, now different states have started announcing summer holidays in schools. In the states where summer vacations will start from May and schools are starting in the month of April, timings have been changed. Apart from this, in the month of April, due to second and fourth Saturdays along with Sunday, Good Friday and Parshuram Jayanti, schools in different states will remain closed.

School Summer Vacation states

According to the order issued by the School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh Government, summer vacations have been declared for students from 1st May to 15th June and for teachers from 1st May to 31st May. These holidays will be applicable simultaneously on all private and government schools in the state. The summer vacation in Delhi schools will begin from May 11 and end on June 30. However, teachers will have to report to schools from June 28.

According to the annual calendar released by the Jharkhand Education Department, this time the summer holidays will start from 22nd May and will continue till 4th June 2025. Earlier these holidays were scheduled till 2nd June only, but in view of the scorching heat and heat wave, the holidays have been extended by two more days.

Meanwhile in Tamil Nadu , the summer vacation for classes 1 to 5 will run from April 22 to June 1, for classes 6 to 9 from April 25 to June 1, and for class 10 students, the summer vacation will run from April 15 to June 1. This time the summer vacation in Himachal Pradesh schools will be for 32 days from 12 July to 12 August.

Earlier it used to be for 38 days from 22 June to 29 July. The 4 holidays of April have been canceled, instead summer break will be from 1 to 8 June. There will be a 30-day summer holiday from 1 to 30 June in the schools of Nalagarh, Fatehpur, Nagarota Surian, Indora, Paonta Sahib, Kala Amb and Una districts.
