If you are taking ration from government then this article is for you. To tackle fraud, they’re rolling out e-KYC for the units linked to ration cards. While most units have already completed this process, over six lakh units still need to get it done, which could mean losing access to their rations.

The goal is to achieve 100% e-KYC

Ration dealers have been given clear instructions on this matter. In the district, there are more than 450,000 cardholders, with a total of 24,455,555 units registered on ration cards. So far, e-KYC has been completed for 18,638,832 units, leaving over six lakh members who haven’t taken action yet.

Currently, 77% of ration cards have undergone e-KYC

According to the supply department’s data, 77% of the ration cards in the district have been processed. If a unit hasn’t completed e-KYC, it risks being removed from the system. It’s crucial for them to get this done before the government’s deadline of June 30.

District Supply Officer Anubhav Trivedi emphasized the importance of reaching 100% e-KYC completion. With 77% already done, there’s a strong push to finish the remaining ones quickly.

Here’s how it works:

Visit your nearest ration dealer and present your Aadhaar and ration cards. They’ll verify your identity using biometrics like fingerprints or eye scans. Your ration card will be linked to your Aadhaar. Once e-KYC is finished, you’ll receive an OTP to confirm the process is complete.
