SBI says stay alert

Actually, scammers are sending fake SMS and APKs to customers on SMS or WhatsApp. You can become a victim of fraud as soon as you click on the link given in the message. The account may also be empty. The message reads, “Dear customer, your Yono SBI Net Banking Reward Point will expire today. Click on the link to redeem the cash.”

SBI has shared a post on social media “X.” In which the message of expiry of YONO Net Banking Reward Point received by customers is fake. The bank said, “Please note SBI never sends such messages and APKs on SMS. Do not click on any such links, nor download the file.”

Tips for Protection

1. Do not click on the link given in SMS or WhatsApp messages received from any unknown source. Do not download such files either.

 

2. The government has advised SBI customers to install apps associated with trusted sources such as Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

 

3. For SBI reward points, customers can visit the official website www.rewardz.sbi. Or you can contact Verified Rewards Customer Care at 1800-209-8500.

 

4. Report any suspicious message call to the bank.
