If you are a woman looking to benefit from government initiatives, there are specific programs designed to enhance the economic status of women. These initiatives aim to promote self-sufficiency and provide financial support. In this article, we will discuss the Subhadra Yojana and the advantages it offers.

Subhadra Yojana

The Odisha government has introduced a significant program for women called the Subhadra Yojana. This initiative is open to women aged 21 to 60. Each eligible woman will receive Rs 10,000 annually, distributed in two installments, totaling Rs 50,000 over five years.

A key feature of this program is the Subhadra Debit Card, which allows the funds to be directly deposited into the woman’s bank account. To encourage digital transactions, an extra incentive of Rs 500 will be awarded to 100 women who complete the most digital transactions in their local gram panchayat or city. Additionally, a new update regarding the Subhadra Yojana has been announced: those who apply by March 31, 2025, will also receive the remaining two installments from December. This decision was made during a recent cabinet meeting.

Information from Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja

Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja has confirmed that the application deadline for the 2024-2025 period is March 31, 2025. Women who apply by this date will also be eligible for the remaining two previous installments. To qualify for these installments, applicants must submit all required documents before the deadline. On Friday, the Odisha government extended the deadline for the first installment to March 31, 2025. These initiatives are all aimed at empowering women.
