Before the year ends, now a big update is coming for pensioners. Now you can easily submit your certificate for pension just by sitting home. The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare launched the DLC campaign 3.0 across the country in November this year to ease the process of submission of life certificates for pensioners. Now using face authentication technology, pensioners will be able to submit their life certificates sitting at home.

Digital Life Certificate Campaign

The DLC campaign allows pensioners to submit their life certificate through Aadhaar-based identification on their smartphones, eliminating the need to personally approach the pension disbursing authority. This digital way, which was first introduced with Jeevan Pramaan in 2014, was further improved in 2021 by adding face authentication technology.

Apart from digital submission, senior citizens can also use doorstep banking services to submit their life certificates. To submit their life certificate using doorstep banking, pensioners need to follow these steps:

Register for doorstep banking in your bank

Fill out the life certificate form with all the necessary details.

Submit the form through the Door Step Banking Service.
