Indian Railways is set to launch a super app very soon. This app will bring together various services currently available on different mobile apps into one place. In the first phase, the app will offer services related to booking reserved tickets, unreserved tickets, and platform tickets. Additionally, the app will include features like train enquiries, PNR status, and food ordering.
The Centre for Railway Information Systems, on behalf of the Ministry of Railways, is developing a super app for all public services of Indian Railways. Initially, the app will offer services for booking reserved tickets, unreserved tickets, and platform tickets, along with train enquiries, PNR status, food ordering on board, RailMadad, and freight-related enquiries. The app is designed for easy use, with a special focus on improving both the user interface and user experience.
Indian Railways SuperApp Features:
1. Single-Sign-On: Users will be able to access all services with a single login. The same credentials will work for existing Indian Railways apps like IRCTC RailConnect, UTS Mobile App, and more.
2. All-in-One App: Currently, separate apps are needed for reserved and unreserved bookings, as well as for checking train schedules and movements. All these services will now be available in a single, integrated app.
3. Integrated Services: Services will be consolidated to provide comprehensive information from multiple sources. For example, PNR enquiry will also display relevant train details.

4. Easy Onboarding/Sign-up: Users can use their existing RailConnect or UTS app credentials to sign up for the SuperApp. The sign-up process has been simplified to enhance user experience and make the app more accessible.
3. Ease of Login: Multiple login options, including mPIN and biometric authentication, are provided to improve user experience. Once logged in, the app can be accessed easily with these options.
