Tarbandi Yojana: To safeguard farmers’ crops from stray and wild animals, the Rajasthan government has introduced a significant program named ‘Tarbandi Yojana’. In this program, farmers receive a subsidy of up to 60% for fencing their farmland. Because of Nilgai, wild boar, and other wandering animals, farmers’ crops face significant losses, which adversely affects their effort and financial situation. To address this issue, the Rajasthan government has launched this initiative, which will assist farmers in safeguarding their crops and achieving improved yields.
The primary goal of the Tarbandi scheme is to ensure the safety of farmers’ agricultural activities by providing them with financial support and boosting their income. The Rajasthan Tarbandi Yojana, also known as the Fencing Scheme Rajasthan, is a government initiative that provides financial aid to farmers for safeguarding their crops. Under this, farmers receive a subsidy for enclosing or fencing their farmland, enabling them to safeguard their crops from stray and wild animals.
The fencing program is particularly advantageous for farmers whose crops are damaged by Nilgai, wild boars, and other wildlife. Through fencing, farmers’ efforts are safeguarded, ensuring their crops remain intact. Every type of farmer will benefit from this scheme.
Different categories of grants are provided under this program:
Small and marginal farmers: Financial aid of up to 60% or a cap of Rs 48,000 for fencing installations up to 400 running metres.
General Farmer: Subsidy of up to 50% or a maximum of Rs. 40,000 for fencing up to 400 linear metres.
