The central government will increase the DA by 4 percent, after which it will increase to 54 percent. Currently, central employees receive a 50 percent DA. The salaries of employees will increase accordingly. For example, if a central employee’s salary is Rs 40,000, there will be an increase of Rs 1600 per month, according to 4 percent DA.
Accordingly, in 12 months, i.e., one year, there will be an increase of more than Rs 19,000 in salary, which will be like a big gift for everyone. There won’t be an 8th Pay Commission.
Central employees were hoping for a long time that the government could take a big decision on the formation of the 8th Pay Commission in the first budget of its third term. The government did not do this; rather, it completely ruled out the possibility of forming the 8th Pay Commission. Now it is almost certain that the government is not going to form the 8th Pay Commission.
