Marriage Scheme: Many such schemes are being run by the government, about which most people are not aware. The government is running a similar scheme to give the right to equality and eliminate discrimination in the country, which gives financial help along with social security to the people. This scheme is Inter-caste marriage promotion scheme, which gives up to Rs 2.50 lakh to married people.

To take advantage of the Inter-caste marriage promotion scheme, you must have a marriage certificate and the benefit of this scheme will be given only to those people who marry from one caste to another. That is, if a person is from the general category and marries in another community, he will be given the benefit of this scheme. Let’s know how to get the benefit of this scheme.

The government will provide benefits under the Intercaste Marriage Promotion Scheme only when a rich Hindu and a Scheduled Caste person are married to each other. At the same time, under the Hindu Marriage Act 1955, registration of marriage has to be done within one year of the marriage. Those who marry for the second time will not be given the benefit of this scheme. Apart from this, if wrong information is given, then as per the rules, a penalty will be imposed. Also, if you have availed the benefit of any other government scheme of the center and state, then the same amount will be deducted from you under this scheme.

How to apply for this scheme

You can apply under this scheme by going to the MLA and MP of your area. They will send your application to Dr. Ambedkar Foundation. Along with this, you can also fill the form under this scheme and give it to the state government and district office.

What documents are required

Caste certificate should be there with the application. Marriage certificate, affidavit of marriage will also have to be attached. Along with this, necessary documents will also have to be given to prove that this is your first marriage. It is mandatory for the husband and wife to provide income certificates. Apart from this, a joint bank account will have to be provided so that money can be deposited in it. After the application is approved, an amount of Rs 1.5 lakh will be given to the husband and wife’s account and an FD of Rs 1 lakh will be made.
