The state government launched an Agrisure scheme for farmers. Farmers can now get funding to kickstart their own businesses thanks to a new initiative. The Government of India is offering benefits of up to Rs 6000 each year to over 13 crore farmers across the nation. Recently, the government introduced another scheme aimed at supporting farmers, which was launched by Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan last year.
AgriSure Yojana
This new initiative is called the AgriSure Yojana, designed specifically for Agri Tech startups. It provides financial support to farmers looking to launch their own ventures. The government has allocated a dedicated budget for this program.
The full title of the AgriSure scheme is Agriculture Fund for Startups and Rural Enterprises. Its goal is to encourage the adoption of innovative technologies in agriculture and rural development. If a farmer is interested in starting a business in the agricultural field, they can receive financial help from the government.
The Government of India’s Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, has introduced a new fund totaling Rs 750 crore. This initiative aims to open up fresh income-generating opportunities for the youth within the agriculture sector.
Through the Agrisure scheme initiated by the government, startups can receive investments of up to Rs 25 crore. However, various factors will be considered, which may lead to a reduction in the amount granted. Those interested in applying for the benefits of the Agrisure scheme can reach out to the investment manager at NABARD or send an email to agrisure@nabard.org for more information.
