Despite the increase in crude oil prices, there was a bit of good news on Tuesday, as petrol and diesel rates remained unchanged. As of today, February 18, petrol prices in Delhi are steady at Rs 94.77, while diesel is at Rs 87.67. On the other hand, Port Blair boasts the lowest petrol price in the country at Rs 82.46, with diesel priced at Rs 78.05 per liter. According to Bloomberg, Brent crude’s April futures have increased by 0.64% to $75.22 per barrel, and WTI’s March futures have risen by 0.83% to $71.33 per barrel.
Top 10 countries with the cheapest petrol in the world
According to Global Petrol Prices.com, Iran has the cheapest petrol globally, priced at just Rs 2.48 per liter. In contrast, Hong Kong has the most expensive petrol at Rs 294.49 per liter. Libya comes in second for the cheapest petrol, with a price of Rs 2.64 per liter.
Next up is Venezuela, where petrol costs just over Rs 3 in Indian currency. Following these three, Angola offers petrol at Rs 28.47 per liter. Egypt ranks fifth, with petrol priced at Rs 29.25 per liter.
Algeria takes the sixth spot for affordable petrol, with a price of Rs 29.45 per liter. Kuwait is next, with petrol costing Rs 29.50 per liter, placing it eighth on the list. Turkmenistan is ninth, where petrol is priced at Rs 37.26 per liter. Finally, Malaysia rounds out the top ten, with petrol priced at Rs 39.80 per liter.
