Delhi Police Traffic Advisory: On the eve of New Year, Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory regarding the arrangements and restrictions to be implemented during the celebrations organized in the national capital (especially in Connaught Place).

This decision has been issued by Delhi Police so that the crowd can be controlled. According to the Delhi Police Advisory, only those vehicles can go towards Connaught Place, which has hotel or restaurant bookings.

These routes will be banned.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), strict action will be taken against drunk driving, speeding, bike stunts, and other negligent driving activities. Police said that vehicles will not be allowed to go towards Connaught Place from Mandi House, Bengali Market, northern end of Ranjit Singh Flyover, Minto Road-Deendayal Upadhyay Marg Crossing, RK Ashram Marg-Chitragupta Marg Crossing, Gol Market, GPO etc.

Rajiv Chowk Metro Station may also be closed for some time. According to the traffic police, many people gather in Connaught Place on New Year’s Eve, which leads to a crowd.

Routes will change in Sector 18

People visiting Noida Sector-18 and nearby malls and pubs can park their vehicles in the multi-storey parking in Sector-18. People from Atta Peer Chowk can enter the multi-storey parking from the HDFC Bank cut. Apart from HDFC, one can enter Sector-18 from Radisson Hotel Tiraha and the cut near Nursery Tiraha.

There is no parking zone here.

Officials said that Nursery Tiraha to Atta Peer Chowk, Sector-18 towards Metro, and Sector-18 to Atta Peer Chowk on the return have been declared no parking zones. The cuts to Sector 18 before and after the FOB near the Gurudwara will remain closed.

These routes will remain closed.

The road to Sector-18 from below the Sector-18 Metro will remain closed to drivers. Only vehicles coming from the market can pass through this cut. Entry from the cuts made on both sides of Sector-18 Muzayak Hotel will be closed; only exit facilities will be available from inside the sector.
