Now everybody is talking about PAN Card 2.0. The BJP-led central government has launched the PAN Card 2.0 project, under which taxpayers will be given a free e-PAN card. The objective of this initiative is to make the PAN card a common identifier for all government digital systems. In the 2023 budget, the government had announced its implementation. This system will not only make the process simple and secure but will also ensure that a single person does not have more than one PAN card.
What is PAN 2.0?
Free e-PAN card: The new PAN card will be sent free of cost in digital format to the registered email of the taxpayers.
