Today, Darjeeling may experience a slight chance of very light rain accompanied by thunderstorms. Additionally, light snowfall is anticipated in the higher elevations of Darjeeling. While temperatures are expected to rise slightly in South Bengal within the next 24 hours, no major fluctuations are chance of very light rain accompanied by thunderstorm predicted for the following four to five days. Currently, the weather is clear with no rain expected.
Cyclonic activity is also present in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh
In the southwest Bay of Bengal, a cyclonic circulation is situated near the Maldives, with an axis extending towards Lakshadweep. Cyclonic activity is also present in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, with a connection from the Uttar Pradesh cyclone to central Maharashtra.
In South Bengal, both daytime and nighttime temperatures are above average. Morning fog is likely in the coastal districts, but the sky remains clear for now. There is no anticipated rainfall in the coming four to five days. The early morning and evening weather is expected to be pleasantly mild, while daytime temperatures may rise, potentially leading to slightly uncomfortable conditions at night.
There’s a chance of light snow in the higher hills of North Bengal, particularly in Darjeeling, until tomorrow morning. The snowfall in Sikkim might affect the high hill areas of Darjeeling as well. Expect some rain in Darjeeling’s hill areas today, but after that, North Bengal should stay dry starting tomorrow. The skies will be mostly clear, with just a bit of haze in a couple of spots in the hills. Temperatures are likely to stay pretty steady over the next four to five days.
In Kolkata, temperatures during the day and night will be above normal, with a slight increase expected. The skies will be clear, and maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 33 to 34 degrees Celsius for the next few days, with no rain in sight.
