Pradhan Mantri National Digital Health Mission:Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission. Under this all the people of the country will be given a unique ID card. which will contain all the information related to their health.
The biggest advantage of this will be that if you go for treatment to any corner of the country. then you will not have to carry any test report or slip etc. All your information will be present in the health card. Doctors will be able to know only from your ID what disease you have had before and where you have been treated.
Earlier it was running under the name of National Digital Health Mission (NDHM). Prime Minister Modi announced this scheme from the Red Fort on August 15, 2020. Right now it is running in Andaman-Nicobar, Chandigarh, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman-Diu, Ladakh and Lakshadweep. Now it is being started in the whole country. The purpose of this mission is to make it easy for every person to access the institutions providing healthcare services.
What id the Prime Minister say
Launching it, Modi said that in the last 7 years, the campaign to strengthen the country’s health facilities is entering a new phase from today. Today such a mission is being started, which has the power to bring revolutionary changes in India’s health facilities.
Today the country has 130 crore Aadhaar numbers, 118 crore mobile subscribers, about 80 crore internet users and about 43 crore Jan Dhan bank accounts. Such a large connected infrastructure is not found anywhere in the world. This digital infrastructure is delivering everything from ration to administration to the common Indian in a fast, transparent manner.
Unique Digital Health Card
Under the Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission, a unique digital health card will be given. which will be a kind of identity card. It will be similar to Aadhaar. which will have a 14-digit randomly generated number. Through this, the personal medical history of any patient will be known.
This card can be made through Aadhaar as well as just a mobile number. Its biggest advantage will be that if you go for treatment to any corner of the country. you will not have to take any test report or slip etc. This is because all your information will be present in the health card.
You will get rid of all the prescriptions. Hospitals, clinics and doctors will be linked to a central server to keep the complete medical data of every patient. That is, hospitals, clinics and doctors will also be registered in it.
Although the government will not make it mandatory for everyone right now. but the effort is that gradually everyone should come into this system. due to which it will become easy to keep personal health records. In such a situation, you will also get rid of all the prescriptions. Neither a doctor’s prescription will be required, nor will there be the hassle of bills.
